    Sindh Development Studies Centre (SDSC) is the country's leading organization in the region between Karachi and Lahore, and the only one with the capability and confidence to carry out extensive fieldwork in the interior of Sindh and all other parts of the country. Conceived as a research cell of the Department of Economics at the University of Sindh, it was upgraded in 1985 to the level of a research Centre and is located on the campus of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro.

    SDSC has emerged as a leading institution for a new generation of professionals and applied research scientists in the field of economics, agriculture, sociology, education, health, environment, and related sectors. It effectively provides leadership and training opportunities to public and private sectors to formulate realistic policy frameworks that can be adapted for economic development through applied research, project formulation and data analysis.
