The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Articles 12, 13, and 15 guarantee children the right to a meaningful voice governance activities, yet throughout the world anyone under 18 is disenfranchised, unable to vote. However, it has been convincingly demonstrated that children's parliaments can have a substantial positive change in their schools, communities districts, states, and even national governments. These are not mock, practice parliaments; they are the real thing. There is now even a Provisional World Children's Parliament with children participating from four continents.
