Social book forumPromoting Organizations:Brief description (Purpose or mission of your initiative, what it wants to transform, etc.):
The social book forum is an initiative to promote, collective, civic and political reading in Kyrgyzstan. Key themes include social justice, diversity, contemporary feminism, left movements and evaluation of the soviet period in Central Asia. The social book forum will take place through a variety of preparatory studies and the main event will be held in Bishkek in autumn 2021.
How promoting group is organized and criteria for considering inclusion of new entities in the group:Books for Development is a public (non-profit) foundation registered in Kyrgyzstan. We are just beginning to plan the social book forum and will circulate criteria for joining the initiative as soon as they are ready.

Main social book forum is planned as a 2-day event in autumn 2021 with offline sessions in Bishkek and a limited number of online sessions. Our main working language is Russian but online events will be held in English.Public action n°1:Celebration of 1 May with poetry and discussion
