The SEA Scotland is the only educational Socialist Society affiliated to the Scottish Labour Party and has had a long history of being a critical friend in terms of education policy. We participate in the Scottish Policy Forum and send a delegate to Scottish Labour’s Annual Conference. We work closely with members of the Shadow Education Front Bench. SEA Scotland is considering various ways in which it can further contribute to the development and evaluation of Scottish Labour’s Education Policy to include consultation events such as conferences and seminars, a website, direct links with trade unions and the cooperative movement and direct links with education portfolio holders in local government.
